Uniting Our Community in The Nickel

We voted to dissolve the group on September 8, 2022. Covid hit us especially hard over the last few years and we have not been able to hold any fundraisers. We are proud of the good work we did in our community.

Webcasters has offered to host the website and take responsibility for its contents as a tribute to our volunteers and sponsors.

Making Winter a Little Warmer with the

3rd Annual Winter Coat Giveaway

Lisa Taylor Sedlak and her employees at Danberry Realtors, along with a bunch of other amazing individuals, rocked our
3rd annual Winter Coat Giveaway!

We were able to make winter a little warmer for students and their families in The Nickel, giving away over 900 coats and gloves, hats and scarves to over 400 families this year.

We Need your help

Especially now, we have a growing need for your time, donations and generosity as we help our schools, our students and their families.

Thanks to a collaboration with our school administrations, a local church, grants and community sponsors, we can make a difference right here.  Right now.  Please join us.

The good news:  there are as many ways to help the people in our community as there are needs:

  • Give immediate-need supplies
  • Volunteer your time and talents
  • Host a business networking event
  • Spread the word
  • Bring a friend
  • Donate

We deliver

“Our basic goal:  integrating services that wrap around relationships. “

$7,500 in School Supplies

In the past three years, we have cut through the red tape to give teachers and their students what they need right away.

3 years > 2,200+ Coats & Winter Items

We have collaborated for 3 years with Lisa Sedlak at Danberry Realtors on our Winter Coat Drive.  In 2018, we passed out over 400 winter items, over 900 each in 2019 and 2020!

100% Attendance at 6th Grade Camp

In 2018, we sent 36 kids, 6 adults and 4 counselors to summer camp that spring.  Until COVID hit, we were on track to send every 6th grader again in 2019 and 2020.

10,0000+ Bags of Groceries

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to help as many as 100 families/day for 24 mobile food drives over 4 months when times were the hardest in 2020.

4 Schools Served

The Eastside Community Pride Foundation is currently serving 3 elementary schools and 1 high school in The Nickel . . . and the number grows every year!

$27,562 in Fundraising

Thanks to the hard work of so many individuals and community partners, we have raised over $27,562 through our annual golf outing, sponsorships, donations and grants.

Our Impact

ECPF is making a difference in my hometown (The Nickel)! They are truly making a difference in the lives of kids. It makes me proud of our fellow Waite Alumni who have stepped up and not forgotten where they come from. #payingitforward!

Seeing the hundreds of coats, hats, and gloves given to our students throughout the building from ECPF and their community partners was truly heart-warming. Keep up the great work and thank you for caring about our students on the Eastside.
